Make Waves for Winni

“Now in its 6th year, Alexis Wallace’s “Make Waves for Winni” swim has carried her through many bays of the lake, each stroke raising awareness and support for its protection. From early solo swims to multi-mile relays with friends and family, the tradition has grown into a community event that raises critical funds for lake protection annually. This year, Alexis will take on a 1.5-mile swim in Center Harbor, continuing her lifelong mission to ensure the lake is as vibrant and pristine for her grandchildren as it was in her youth.

As Alexis shares: “Representing the third of five generations of my family on Lake Winnipesaukee over the course of nearly 80 years, I feel compelled to leave the lake to my grandchildren in as good shape as it was in my childhood.”

All funds raised go directly back to protecting Lake Winnipesaukee through the work of the Lake Winnipesaukee Alliance (LWA). From water quality monitoring to community education and restoration projects, your support helps keep the lake clean and healthy for generations to come.”
