Guided Paddle to Ragged Island

Join the Lakes Region Conservation Trust (LRCT) and the Lake Winnipesaukee Association (LWA) on a scenic paddle to Ragged Island Conservation Area and learn about the threats to water quality. Participants will paddle approximately 1.5 miles to Ragged Island, an 11.5-acre island with 1 mile of shoreline and two sandy beaches acquired by LRCT in 2007. Once there, LWA’s Bree Rossiter will lead participants through a discussion about what affects Lake Winnipesaukee’s water quality.

The round-trip distance of this paddle will be approximately 3 miles. The level of difficulty is moderate, but please keep in mind that weather conditions on that day may affect the difficulty.
